Adaptive Cutlery – a range of utensils specially designed to assist individuals who experience difficulty in feeding themselves with a standard cutlery. These utensils have either ribbed or grooved handles that make them easier to grasp firmly and prevent them from falling off the user’s hands when eating. These utensils are light and therefore suitable for users who cannot handle the weight of the standard cutlery.
The Adaptive Cutlery includes a lot of items and the splayed fork is one among them. This fork has a slim handle to make it easy to hold by filling in the user’s hands. Made from a high-quality stainless steel. Designed for one handed eating. Uniquely designed with an inner curvature making it a spoon and a fork.
The splayed fork’s edges also making it suitable to cut food. This enables it to cut through the food much easily. Thus the user does not have to struggle or put in a lot of effort when eating. A sleeve can also be obtained from the Kings Modular Cutlery range and added to the forks existing handle. The slim handle is 100mm long and the whole fork weighs 34 grams. Not dishwasher safe, thus normal hand washing preferred.
